"L'Origine" as been producing organic & biodynamic pasta since 1985 from it's headquarters up in the beautiful Benci Hills
The biodynamic movement was started by the Philosopher & Scientist Rudolf Steiner (who lived at the start of the 20th century), he believed in practising a healthy type of agriculture that respected nature using "Biodynamic" fertilisers, able to work together with the natural elements and revitalise them rather than destroy them.
L'Origine was inspired to produce pasta by this vision of "natural" agriculture, nutrition & way of life.
Only the highest quality raw materials are used to produce L'Origine pasta. The cereals used are stared in a warehouse before being slowly ground by a stone mill, this method avoids overheating and the loss of the nutritional properties of the grain.
The flour obtained is then mixed with water & passed through a press, it is then extruded to the required shape. The pasta is then dried very slowly at low temperature in order to avoid losing any of its nutritional properties.
Once dried the pasta is then packaged ready to be displayed in various organic & Biodinamic shaps.
"L'Origine" produces pasta with raw materials that have "Demeter" international certification, this guarantees the consumer that the product has been produced by farms using correct biodynamic methods.
